First post in a long time.

I've decided to go back to using this blog as I've found myself spending increasingly less time on the computer.
Cindy is doing really well. She hasn't had any ear infections for a while. She's been getting a little stubborn when we walk home from the radio station lately, but I think that's a combination of the weather heating up and Cindy not wanting to go home. She still loves the radio station. She goes straight into the studio on Mondays when I do my live show. It's always nice and cool for her in there. I brought a toy for her once because I thought she might be bored (a toy that didn't make any noise, of course), but she didn't play with it much. It was so adorable when she put her head on it and went to sleep, though. :)

The last two days

I did some work at the radio station yesterday. It was sunny and Cindy was really happy. She loves lying in the sun. She spent most of the time at the radio station lying around and getting attention from everyone. She had a great time. I'm about four playlists ahead on music, so I didn't have too much to do. There was a bit of trouble with the computer in that some people were having trouble with getting their recording loud enough. Even boosting it didn't help. Mine was fine, luckily.
I gave Cindy her Drontal today. She's currently lazing about and keeping an eye on everyone. Mum changed around my room last night and I think she likes it better than the way it used to be. Her bed is now right next to my bed and isn't near the air conditioner.

Long Walk

Mum, my sister and I walked Cindy to the vet, shopping centre and video shop this morning. Cindy was good, except for trying to sniff some plants and eat a sausage that was left on the ground! I stopped her before she got the sausage thanks to the halti. She was very well behaved at the vet. There was another dog there and she was looking at the dog, but didn't go over to it. I got a worming tablet for her and weighed her. She weighs 31.3 kg. I took off her harness and let her say hello to the other dog before we left because she was so good.
We went to the shop after that and had coffee with our aunt. Then we went to the video shop and Mum and my sister rented a few DVDs. Cindy was very tired when we got home. At least she's had a big walk. The weather is still bad. It's been drizzling on and off today.

Cindy, balloons and floods

Dad has had four days off work because of the rain and he starts on his five days off today. The rain wasn't too bad today. It was drizzling all day, but no heavy rain. The weather has been cool. It feels like winter.
Mum and I managed to take Cindy for a walk to J's this afternoon. The boys were playing with balloons. Cindy busted one with her paw and got a fright. She wouldn't go near them after that. She just sat by me and watched everyone. The boys tried to give her balloons, but she ignored them. I don't know how she can be so patient with them. They try to climb on top of her sometimes. She just sits up so they can't.
The city near where we live has been flooded with rain. Everyone we know there has been fine, but we've been hearing on the news that there's a lot of damage. They're expecting more rain soon as well. I hope they don't get flooded again. The rain is nice, but it's getting to be way too much. It'll be really bad if they don't get a chance to recover from the last flood.

Too much rain!

I went to the radio station this morning. They wanted me to record a message for one of the mines to tell their workers that the road is closed and not to come in today. Everyone's been on the two-way asking about the roads around here. Seems like most of them are closed. Dad probably won't be able to go into work tonight.
I couldn't take Cindy to the radio station because it was raining too much for us to walk. She was very unhappy. She sat in front of me when I got my bag and had the saddest look on her face. She's happy now that I'm home.

Car trouble and rain

Looking back, it doesn't feel like I've been working at the radio for long, but it actually has been a fairly long time. It may not be a paying job, but it's a lot of fun and it's interesting learning how everything works.
Dad had a little bit of trouble with the car when he came home from the city on Monday. It wouldn't start on the way back, but he managed to get it started again and get home. It was raining really heavily that day and it would have been awful if he'd be stranded on the side of the road. He got the car fixed yesterday. It cost him $300.
Cindy has been a bit naughty today. She frightened the chook by jumping at her and went into the garden to chase some birds.
We're going to go to the shops tomorrow, so I hope it's not going to rain. Dad will have the car at work, so we'll have to walk.

Rain and home alone

It's been raining a lot in the last few days. Cindy doesn't like it at all. I think the only reason she goes out in it is that she loves getting dried afterward. She loves rubbing against my legs and getting me wet too.
The chook made a bit of a fuss this morning. I didn't lock her up last night, so she should have been happy. I think she was letting me know she had an egg, because she settled down as soon as I took the egg.
Everyone went into the city yesterday and stayed the night, so I got the house to myself. They're coming back today. Dad said they've been getting heaps of rain in the city, more than we're getting here. Cindy has been very lazy today. She should perk up a bit when everyone comes home.

Article

Nothing much today. Just an article I found while surfing the Net.

Guide Dogs With An Image Problem

Chooks

J came around with the boys today. Cindy was so excited. She didn't leave J alone the whole time she was here. J has bought some chooks, and the boys were happy because the chooks have been laying eggs. They've got five eggs from them so far.
I was going to take Cindy for a walk this morning, but it looked like it might rain. It's too hot to take her now. I might take her this afternoon if it doesn't rain. It's been impossible to tell what the weather is going to do around here lately.

The Golden Compass

I went to the cinema to watch The Golden Compass today. It's the first time I've been to the cinema in ages. I didn't bring Cindy because I didn't think she would last for three hours without wanting to go to the toilet. She's been going a lot lately. It wouldn't be fair for her to have to wait. Plus, it was a bit hot for her to walk. My sister was home with her. I thought Cindy would ignore me when I got home like she usually does, but she actually came up to me straight away, wanting to sniff me and get pets. Maybe she didn't think my sister was looking after her very well.
The movie was good. I kept comparing it to the book while I was watching it. There are some differences between it and the book, but of course that's to be expected. I think they did a good job with turning it into a movie. I don't think Mum liked it much, but it isn't her thing anyway.
